Dr. David Baker, MD
Dr. David Baker graduated with a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Tulane University and also obtained his M.D. degree from Tulane in 1980. He then completed several years of general surgery training and the remainder of his neurosurgical training at the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1988 following which he joined FCN. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons (ABNS).
Dr. Baker is a veteran of the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged following his service in 1976, having obtained the rank of Captain.
Dr. Baker has been very active in the medical community including prior service as Vice president and president of the Whatcom County Medical Society. He is a prior chief of surgery of St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham, WA also.
Dr. Baker’s clinical interests lie in the treatment of adult spinal degenerative disorders and has particular interests and expertise in both minimally invasive spinal surgery and Sacro-iliac joint fusion (SI joint fusion).
Dr. Baker is married and has three grown children. He and his wife enjoy their time outdoors, especially on their boat. Additionally, they enjoy traveling when time permits.
Dr. Baker is the most senior partner at Fourth Corner Neurosurgical Associates (FCN), having joined the group in 1988.
