Dr. Gorrepati was raised in the Midwest and attended Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with a degree with honors in Neurobiology. He went on to earn his medical degree with research distinction at the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. He dedicated an additional year to a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he studied tumor immunity in gliomas.

Dr. Gorrepati completed his neurosurgery residency at Yale with training in both open and minimally invasive approaches to spinal disorders including chronic back pain, degenerative disk disease, spinal trauma, spinal tumors, cervical neck disorders, and thoracolumbar deformity. His training included two years dedicated toward a CAST-accredited enfolded spine fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital for additional subspecialty training in complex, minimally invasive, and robotic spine surgery. He has a broad interest in cranial neurosurgery including brain tumors, cranial trauma, and hydrocephalus. He also has a particular interest in the minimally invasive treatment of a subset of lower back pain through sacroiliac fusions.

Dr. Gorrepati is a foodie and enjoys cooking and exploring new restaurants, playing team and individual sports, and spending time outdoors. He has always had a love of the Pacific Northwest that drew him here and fits perfectly with his relaxed personality.
